
Fatemeh Kalantari, Born in Sari, Iran in 1984, Dr. Fatemeh Kalantari graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Landscape architecture from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Kuala Lumpur (2014 - 2019). She obtained her MSc in Landscape Architecture at UPM (20011- 2013) and her Bachelor of Architecture from the Islamic Azad University of Mashhad in Iran (2005 to 2009).
In 2008, Fatemeh opened her own practice in Mashhad and immediately got hired designing highly significant and exemplary works of architecture while maintaining her position as a landscape designer in various types of projects at different locations (Iran, Malaysia, and Germany). She has been presented with awards and achievements such as second prize at Architectural Competition, Azad University of Mashhad, Iran in June 2008 and the first prize of the 9th Creative Design Festival in Mashhad, Iran on March 2010. During her master and Ph.D., she started her teaching and research career, holding conferences, seminars, and courses in Iran, Malaysia, and Germany. She also published more than 10 scientific articles in authentic journals and conferences. As a critic architecture, she also published several critical articles related to the Iranian contemporary architecture and urban design in Iranian Press.
Currently, she is a member of Australian Institute Landscape Architecture (AILA), Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM), Association of Engineering of Mazandaran, Iran, and member of the Young Consultants of Mayor of the Mashhad, Iran. Her field of research is Vertical Farming, Urban High-density areas, River restoration, Ecological development, Public acceptance, and sustainable architecture.
