Tajan River is one of the important Rivers of the Caspian Sea catchment area in the north of Iran. Around 1.5 km long of two sides of the Tajan riverfront is chosen as a study area. The location of the study area passing through the urban area in the east of the Sari city. This river is currently being neglected in socio-cultural development and ecological studies. The goal of this study is the transformation of the Tajan river from an abandoned and forgotten area to a memorable riverside and connector among the people by sustainable approaches. Besides, enhance their appreciation toward the river as well as enjoy the beauty of nature.


-Provide a friendly and comfort pedestrian walkway for linkage between the activities of the site -Proposed vast open space to celebrate the festivals, celebrations -Restoration and develop the existing plants and replant the new species. -Provide trees to make a shadow for the visitors -Proposed exterior gallery, open theater area, relaxing, sitting, a community plaza -Proposed several statues related to the identity of Sari city

-Provide a friendly street with trees with shadow -Provide a welcoming sense of spaces to reminding the cultural and historical values -Change the train rail to the friendly and green pedestrian walkway -Install two bus stations for easy public transportation -Use of native plants and materials
